" Don waste your life"

This advisory exclamation “Don’t waste your life” is cross culturally considered a cliché’ and obviously people don’t want to live their lives wastefully. Someone might say to me that he or she has accomplished things in life such as having a good job, being financially secure, or have already established a solid retirement plan with a lucrative investment portfolio.
All of these planning and accomplishments are very good from a worldly perspective, but I am here to awaken your conscience in terms of your eternal future not only about this empty, temporal, and brief life that is evaporating like your breath that you see in the cold air it’s there and then it disappears rapidly in front of your very eyes.
The brevity of life should concern you and where you’ll end up spiritually after your physical death. The macabre imagery of morbidity should somehow frighten you because it renders a finality that would be eternal without a return to your original physical life.
Therefore, the notion of “Don’t waste your life’ is a caveat about your eternal future, it’s about your spiritual existence after your physical life comes to cessation.
The theological question in your head must be like this, where do I end up when I die? That is a fair question and the answer is tucked in tightly in the word of God.  You might say, wait a minute! Don’t bring God into this philosophical equation; my rhetorical question would be why don’t you believe in God? May be it sounds accusatory but that is what people try to do when they don’t’ believe in God or they are not interested in discussing God’s relevancy in their lives.
I think God has a precept for all of us to believe in Him and that is foundational  and through Him you will consider all of this earthly stuff like a pile of manure which has no benefits for your eternal salvation Whatsoever !
Therefore, “Don’t waste your life” on these mundane things, pursue God so you can see His glory that would last for eternity. Jesus came on earth to invite you to follow Him and surrender your life to Him so that you may have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. John 3: 16-21
Don’t allow anyone to distract you from your pursuit of a holy life because it will pay  great spiritual dividends that would surpass this transient physical life.
So, don’t waste your life to grab on the vanities of this life because it would be like chasing the wind without or it would be like water going through your fingers.
Love you all,
Barukzoy
